DOE Invests $32 Million into Grid Planning Development Projects

Connected Communities program is intended to expand local energy load capacity.

The Department of Energy (DOE) has announced a $32 million investment, distributing the funding to six pilot projects through the Connected Communities program. These projects will advance local-level energy planning services, partnering with community governments and agencies to improve energy grid layout, utilities management, electric vehicle charging solutions, and more.

“Providing low-cost, resilient, and reliable energy to all Americans is a top priority for the DOE,” said Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Jeff Marootian. “As our nation’s energy system faces unprecedented demand growth, it’s more important than ever to deploy solutions that maximize all our energy resources and deliver the most efficient, reliable, and affordable electricity possible.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Energy Secretary nominee Chris Wright to be led by the Lord as he goes through the Senate confirmation process.
  • For U.S. energy officials as they invest in more efficient solutions for utility systems and power grids.
